As a church, we believe that we are called to respond to the generosity of the gospel by giving extravagantly to the progress of the gospel in our community and world. Biblical generosity is not about meeting budget needs. It is about a rich and trusting relationship with a living God. We express our faith and love to Him by honouring Him as the source of everything we have. Scriptural giving is performed with regularity, from the first portion of all we are given, as a proportion of our income, cheerfully, and without pressure or manipulation.
Tithing is our starting place in giving. The Bible teaches us about a baseline standard for giving: the tithe (a word that literally means a “tenth”). When we give the first 10% of our income through the local church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others. God also encourages us to give offerings beyond our tithe to specific projects at our local church and to other organisations and causes that we personally believe in.
Whether you’d like to give a single gift, schedule recurring donations, or view your giving history, you can do it all online. It’s quick, easy, and secure. Both Push Pay and Jericho Ridge maintain full Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance via the SecurityMetrics PCI Certification Program, which means your data is rigorously protected through the industry's strictest equipment safeguards and security protocols. That means you can give with confidence!
Please note that when you give with a credit card, MasterCard and Visa get to keep their piece of the pie so while you are receipted for the full amount, JRCC does not receive the full amount. We recommend that if you are giving a larger amount or if you are planning on giving this way regularly, that you either top up slightly (for example, give $105 instead of $100) or choose a different method of giving (for example, a gift made via debit only costs us five cents no matter the amount).
It can be easy for poverty to become impersonal. We can think in terms of statistics and challenges like migration to the southern border of the USA. But each year, JRCC raises funds and sends people to Central America striving to make it possible for families to stay in Guatemala and achieve a better life for them and their children. We focus our work on women and children and on those with disabilities because they are often the most vulnerable in their culture.

Spending of funds is confined to programs and projects approved by the organization. Each restricted contribution designated towards such an approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason determined by the organization, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where needed most as directed by the board.
From time to time, the Board of Elders will approve the giving toward a project that falls outside of the general operating budget. This is usually done in response to a cost that was not anticipated (such as disaster relief) or a short-term missions project.
There are currently two elder-approved projects that you can give toward:
For instructions on how to contribute to an elder-approved project, please read the response in the FAQ above.
All personal information that is collected will be kept private and confidential. Access to this information is severely restricted in accordance with privacy laws and financial policies commensurate with the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC). If you want to change the amount, a new authorization form will need to be signed and submitted to the JRCC office. Please submit this form at least two weeks before your next scheduled withdrawal. If you anticipate that you will want to change the amount of your monthly giving more frequently than twice a year, please consider an alternative giving option. It will provide less work for everyone.
