Christmas is a time of hope, love, joy, and peace. It is also a time for us to live more deeply into our Jericho Ridge core value of "generous living".
Each Christmas, we as a church community have a tradition of called the "Christmas Blessings Project." Collectively, we gather around our supported missions partners and the community we live in with acts of financial giving and/or service.
This year, we have two simple ways that you can engage with us on this project:
2) You can contribute food items for those in need at the Langley Food Bank.
3) You can give financially to bless our five Jericho Ridge supported missions partners.
There is an abundance of causes that call for our support both locally and globally, and we encourage you to support whatever God is calling you to this Christmas. The Jericho Ridge Christmas Blessings Project is our opportunity to highlight the people and causes that God is calling us to support as a church community. We hope you engage with us in whatever way you feel called to "generous living".
Here are more details about how you can participate with us this Advent...

Goal: Raise $5,000 for JRCC’s Supported Mission PartnersJRCC has five supported global mission partners who work in everything from Bible translation, to relief and development, to youth work. Our desire is to support our missions partners by raising a combined pot of $5,000 that we would then distribute five ways. You can donate online via all of the usual JRCC channels. Please make a note that your financial gift is for the Christmas Blessing Project. |
Goal: support LANGLEY FOOD BANKPartnering with the Langley Food Bank has given us the opportunity to care for those within our community. This Christmas, we are hoping to donate food tems to bless in-need families in our community. Once you have purchased your items, bring them with you to church on Sunday and place them in the Langley Food Bank box at the back of the auditorium near the Kid's Check-in kiosk. Here are some of the items we are hoping to gather together this Christmas: pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, crackers, oatmeal, rice, canned goods (soup, veggies, meats, etc.), diapers, and baby wipes.
