Hey Parents,
Over the last couple of summers we've been out of our regular routine because of the pandemic, and so if you're new within the last two years then you are probably not familiar with how we run our summer programming.
We have awesome Kids@ The Ridge volunteers who teach our kids so well from September until June, and then during the summers we give them a break and our Kids@ The Ridge programming becomes led by parent/ guardian participation. This means that you will be given the opportunity to lead our kiddos over the summer!
In the past, we have had single room programming over the summer, but this year we will be splitting the kids into two different rooms. The preschoolers and kindergarteners will be together in one room and our grade 1 - 4 kids will be in the other room.
We ask that you sign up to lead two Sundays over the summer within the same classroom that your kid's age group is part of. If you have plans over the summer then we would encourage you to sign up early to get the dates when you're available.
During the week before you lead, you will be given a simple lesson that will include storytelling and play. There won't be any prep involved and so all you'll need to do on those Sundays is show up ready to have fun!
