Hello Jericho Ridge Church Family,
Thank you for celebrating our Jericho Ridge 20th Anniversary and of course the resurrection of our Saviour Jesus this past Easter weekend.
While Jericho Ridge moves toward merging into the fourth campus of North Langley Community Church, there are lots of exciting things going on here in the life of our church that we want to invite you to before we close at the end of June. As we have said, now is not the time to coast across the finish line but rather, let’s engage in celebrating who we are as we look to our future. To that end, please prioritize these upcoming events/dates:
May 4: Child Dedication during Sunday Gathering
One of the core values of JRCC is Authentic Community, and child dedications is one of those ways we live that out. When we “dedicate” our children to the Lord, it’s an ask of our church family to pray, support, and love our parents and kids in their faith walk. If this is something you would like to do with your young child, please reach out to Pastor Jenna.
May 5 @ 7 PM: NLCC Willowbrook Campus Launch Team Interest Meeting
You are invited to the NLCC Willowbrook Launch Team Interest Meeting on Monday, May 5 at 7 PM at Jericho Centre. No registration needed! Come and join in with all the others from across NLCC's campuses who are sensing God's call to be a part of the new Willowbrook Campus this fall.
May 18 or 25: Baptisms during Sunday Gathering (TBC)
Baptism is one of the initial steps in your walk with Jesus. It is a public declaration of your faith in him as the Lord of your life. If you are interested in getting baptized, please reach out to Pastor Wally.
May 25 @ 6 PM: JRCC AGM & NLCC Membership Transfer Session
Join us on Sunday, May 25 at 6 PM for a 2-part evening. During the first hour, we will host our final Jericho Ridge AGM, where, among other items, we will vote to dissolve our societies. After a brief coffee & dessert break, we will have Pastor Jon from North Langley Community Church share the mission and vision of NLCC and take us through the process of becoming a NLCC member for any JRCC members who would like to transfer their membership in anticipating of our merger with NLCC.
June 8: Grad Celebration during Sunday Gathering
Each year, we take time to celebrate our graduates of all ages (high school, university, etc.). Join us on June 8 to celebrate and bless our Jericho Ridge graduates.
June 8: Staff Appreciation Evening (Time TBD)
Our Jericho Ridge staff will transition into other vocational roles by the end of June. Join us on the evening of Sunday, June 8, to honour our incredible staff at Jericho Ridge.
June 22: Final Sunday Worship Gathering
Sunday, June 22, will be Jericho Ridge Community Church’s final Sunday Gathering at Jericho Centre. Join us as we worship together, share in communion, and then enjoy a farewell lunch together (provided by JRCC).
June 29: Picnic at Derby Reach
Our final Jericho Ridge event will be an informal bring-your-own-picnic day at Derby Reach, starting at 10:30 AM in the picnic shelter. This will be a casual time to connect with one another over the Canada Day long weekend. No registration required.
June 30 – July 4: NLCC MOVE Camp
Each summer, North Langley Community Church hosts MOVE Camp for kids at each of its campuses. MOVE Camp is sure to be the best week of your child's summer with super fun activities, crafts, songs, games, and more! MOVE Camp is for children currently in Kindergarten – Grade 5. Registration opens on May 1 at nlcc.ca/move-camp.
