Directions to Chataway Lakes Resort
Off the Coquihalla Highway take the Merritt exit (#286), follow Highway #8 West through
town (called Nicola Rd.) and stay on Highway #8 West for ten kilometers out of Merritt until you arrive at Lower Nicola Village, turn North (Right) on
Aberdeen Road. (At that corner there is a store called “Courtesy Corner:”) As you are going North on Aberdeen Road just watch for our signs. You will
pass by the Craigmont Mine and not long after you will come to a gravel road which continues for seven kilometres. This road is maintained by the
Province and at the best of times is in fairly good condition. Km. 7 marker is where the logging road starts and you will follow this road for 18 kilometers.
You will see Chataway signs at all the forks in the road. When visiting Chataway for the first time we recommend you try arriving in daylight as we are told, as much as there is plenty of signs and some fairly big, they are difficult to see in the dark.
